Cremation Memorial



County help to pay for cremation?

My granny passed away this morning and I am taking care of the cremation arrangements. I have heard that there are county services that will help with the cost. But I do not know where to begin. I called 2 funeral homes today and seems $1000-$1500 is the normal price for just cremation (this doesnt even cover the memorial service). I would appreciate any advice on what to do. Thank you.

I don't know where you live,but those prices seem out of line. Google cremation services in your area. I'm sue you can find cheaper.

Google Senior Services in your area and ask them.

Do you know your Granny's doctor? If so talk to him or her.

Google the name of your city and county. When you get the phone number (they'll only operate Monday through Friday) Ask the general information person who might they direct you to for help.

It's tough to deal with these matters at a time of grief.
