Scientologists like to hide behind a religion facade but it is a dangerous cult.
Look, We have seen Charles Manson, David Koresh, Jim Jones and The Childrenof God do some truly awful things under the name of religion and hiding behind constitutional and human rights. But the simple fact is they had charasmatic leaders who thought themselves as "source" They had a group language and made up their own words. They beleived outragous things like Jesus was coming on a meteor. and they did very dangerous things. I mean with Jim Jones killed hundreds of babies in the name of religion, Yet no one stopped them?
These cults are different than religions. They are not with the flow of where the universe is going.
They are very different from religions and i suggest anyone do study in what makes a cult before they express an opinion on this. wiki cults.
So how does a sane person end up in a cult and do disguisting things that they would not otherwise do?
It's called brainwashing and in scientology it is systematic and ruthless and just as subtle at the same time.
Do not judde people by joining. I kid you not, everyone on this page would get brainwashed if they went through the scientology process. It is too powerfull for the human mind to resist.
The unfortunate thing is that once they are brainwashed they will do anything that is asked of them. That's why Jones could get 900 of his followers to commit suicide.
That is why Tom Cruise acts weird. He is doing what he is told. He is under control.
