Our teacher gave us this project called the senior memory book, which apparently many schools across the US do, but the directions are confusing.
For this chapter it says: "'Before I was, there were' - Write a brief description of your family tree. Include a family tree Chart. Tell about folks who were around before you were born: grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, older siblings. Interview at least three people in your family who were living before you were born. Include quotes within your chapter."
Now I understand the family tree junk, that I can do. But what are we supposed to "tell about folks?" like a brief summary on their lives? wth? And when we asked her what that meant she said, "Well it's not going to overlap any other chapter." The previous chapter was about genealogy, the next is about biographies on family members, and the next is about family lore, and then about my birth.
Please, if you think you know what this means, HELP!
Yes, that's a bit of a mystery.
Perhaps if you asked the oldies about the state of the economy (that sounds a bit grand) but I mean their family finances, favourite food, drink, reliability of car, erm ...
