Genealogy: I plan to design my family tree. Kindly give some design tips?
Can you refer any place where I can look for family tree design? Is there any software for designing family tree? Feel free to give your precious suggestions regarding design or anything. I intend to present the family tree to my grandparents.

Also, don't overlook what the Church of Latter Day Saints have available. They are better known as the Mormon Church, but are huge genealogy workers, who spend countless hours putting together family trees, and have a lot of resourses. You would be surprised how much information you may discover regarding your own family within their databases. They also have a lot of material to help people get started. These folks are the ones who really jump started genealogy within our nation. While others have worked dilagently, the Mormans are obsessed with this as they have a method of "saving" those who are dead! No kidding, they actually baptise their dead ancestors and perform other rituals on their dead relatives behalf. Yeah, I know, it is odd sounding, but it is their beliefs and it has placed them at the forefront of the genealogy work in our country and around the world. Here is a fun site which you can check out what your name means in many different forms. You can put your first name in, your first and middle name, your full name, your last name, and versions of your name, into this box, and it will provide a meaning of them all. So, you want to do your family tree? How fun that will be. It will also be frustrating as you search for family members. I have not started mine yet, I was adopted by my father when he married my mother and so do not have much information on my biological father's family. I don't really want my biological father's family or that part of my family tree as my adoptive father is my real father. He is listed on my birth certificate and is my dad in every conceivable manner. I don't like the idea of having to put a different name for my father down on my family tree. I met his mother and sister and aunt, and they are not worth claiming! lol I am gratefull for my dad adopting me and claiming me as his own. He is a good man and made it possible for me to add children to my own family who are not blood related. I do not need a blood connection to know these are my children. I also have other individuals I claim as family and they are also not blood related. I just believe your family is who you make it, not what blood ties you hold. People often say you don't chose your family but I simply disagree on that. I firmly believe we can create our own families.
