Failed to appear in drug court in St. Tammany Parish Louisiana?
My friend had a drug court date for this week (he was arrested on DUI a few months ago while on vacation there) and he got the dates wrong and scheduled his flight for next week. When he shows up in court what should he expect? Will he be arrested on the spot?
At the end of the day when he was "supposed" to show a bench warrent most certainly was issued. He can now be arrested anywhere in the US as the warrent is posted with the NCIC a nationwide "cop" organization.
He really ought to call the prosecuter and "try" to explain. If that doesn't work he needs to get an attorney in LA pronto.
