The stain is urine that has turned the red oak flooring blackish. Do I have to have all of the floor refinished or is there something I can do to pull it out? Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
actually the urine is an amonia based stain that most of the time depending how long its been there stains all the wood all the wat through in the area soiled. if u sand out the floor to remove the stain and refinish it u will notice a differance in the new finish and the original finish!! best bet is to get a hardwood floor finisher to look at the problem. worst case scenerio u have to replace some wood and sand and refinish your flooring.
