Is it ok to wear a sterling silver necklace/chain everyday?
I just found out about cremation urn charms and necklaces. I want to get one for my Grandma who recently passed away. I have been looking forever and fell in love with this one: http://www.funeral-urn.com/cremation-jewelry-my-angel-pendant.aspx
My question is...When I buy this and have her ashes put in it, I don't ever want to take it off. With that being said I'm a bit lost as to what type of metal I should get. I would love the white gold one, but its 800.00, so I'm leaning more towards the sterling silver. What are your thoughts about wearing a sterling silver piece on a daily basis, including the shower/pool....?
Sterling silver is very durable. It can be worn all the time. I have several pieces that I never take off. One is a bracelet I've worn every day for the last 35 years. I looked at the pieces on that website, and if you plan on wearing it every day, I would suggest you seal the the screw with loctite to keep the water out. Loctite or superglue will keep the screw in.
