My cat, whom i have had since I was three, I am now 21, has cancer. I don't want to, but my parents have made the decision that we need to put her down before she is in too much pain.
I want to know from other peoples experience what they have found to be the better option. On one hand I really don't want her to be burned, even after being put down.
And on the other hand I don't want her to deteriorate under the ground with insects and etc.. plus i don't think my parents are going to keep this house for more than 2-3 years. And burying her somewhere else is just not an option for me.
I am in a tough spot as I am extremely attached to her and I don't want anything bad for her even after death, if people could provide their insight I would appreciate it.
Any rude comments will be removed and reported and I think anyone that does is a low low person.
Hi ,
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I know how hard the decision to put a cat down is. Honestly, it is at times when there's no hope the kindest last act you can do for your cat.
I have cats buried in a pet cemetery and I have my soul mate cat's ashes in an urn. With instructions that whenn I die I want our ashes spread together. I have had many feral cats crermated and spread their ashes in various places , a friend property, where they have their animal's buried and near areas where the cat lived too.
In many states it is against the law to bury animals in your back yard and if your parents aren't going to stay in the house, that won't be a good choice..
