I'm wanting to get something engraved for a birthday present. To save space-it's a small thing, I was just going to have 4 letters (The initials for First name, Middle name,2nd Middle name Surname.)
However the last name is McKinnon and I'm not sure if traditionally this should be M or if it should be engraved as McK?
I may be able to ask the engraver this but they might be likely to say get the full name engraved! I want it to look good as a keepsake.
Also, if I did get the full name engraved would it look alright to have for example-
ABC
McKinnon... on 2 lines?
Thanks for any advice!
To be honest i'd imagine that including the initials for the middle name and second middle would look kinda messy whereas AMcK (not AMK or AMCK) would be absolutely fine. Not sure about the full name on two lines though.
