What is the most secure clasp for a gold necklace?

I am going to buy a 24" gold chain for a pendant that I own. Although, the chain I want isn't heavy the pendant is pretty big and is weighty.

Most necklaces come with either a lobster claw or a spring ring clasp. Which would be the most secure?

I love this pendant and would not want to lose it because my clasp snaped.

If there are any suggestions of other clasps please let me know too.

a lobster clasp is very secure. so is a spring ring. i would go for the lobster clasp, personally. not because it's a little more secure and i think it goes better with chain.
