Can an Ordained Minister in Oklahoma perform a legal ceremony in Texas? ?

My wedding is October 25th and we just assumed our chosen minister would be able to perform our ceremony in Texas although he is ordained and lives in Oklahoma, but then heard he may have to get licensed in Texas. We need to know if there is something he needs to do to be able to legally marry us! I have been searching all over the internet for answers but can't find anything clear cut. Thanks!

call your county clerk of court - the same people that issue your marriage license and ask them. That's the fastest way to get the correct informaiton.

"Officiants:
Persons authorized to perform weddings in Texas include licensed or ordained Christian ministers, priests, Jewish rabbis, officers authorized by religious organizations, justices of the supreme court, judges of the court of criminal appeals, justices of the courts of appeals, judges of the district, county, and probate courts, judges of the county courts at law, judges of the courts of domestic relations, judges of the juvenile courts, retired justices or judges, justices of the peace, retired justices of the peace, and judges or magistrates of a federal court of Texas."
